The Music Teacher's Manual
THE MUSIC TEACHER'S
MANUAL
Need extra income, why not teach?
Finally a book that will teach you how to become a private
music teacher!
This book will give you great insight into the world of
teaching.
Students are everywhere and
The Music Teacher's Manual
will show you how to find them, keep them, and develop them into
fine musicians...and you will make money doing it !!!
The Music Teacher's Manual will help you understand the
entire process of teaching…from how to get your first student,
to writing and even publishing your own method book. We will
cover several ideas and approaches on specific teaching
techniques, as well as lesson procedures, personal programs,
advertising, dealing with the psychology of each individual
student, and much much more!
Just so you fully understand, this book teaches you how to teach. It is NOT a book that gives you exercises and scales, but rather it teaches you the techniques and protocol behind teaching. Learn what you should look for to improve your students' performance, and create a lucrative and prosperous new business.
I have been teaching music for about 20 years now, and was also trained for years as a Martial Arts instructor. Over time I have learned and developed many techniques and principals that I use to inspire my students.
Perfect for any instrument, or
any field for that matter.
Here's what people are
saying:
As a
veteran private teacher and entrepreneur in the music education
business, I have encountered many obstacles in both dealing with
students and running a profitable teaching business. Steve's
book, The Music Teacher's Manual, provides experienced insight
dealing with handling most, if not all, of the issues faced by
music teachers. He offers valuable suggestions on topics ranging
from developing a lesson plan and execution of the lesson to
managing a business and self publishing. Congratulations Steve,
on creating a valuable resource for music teachers of all
instruments.

I
found THE MUSIC TEACHER'S MANUAL much to my liking. I think the
industry needs a book like this and you're on top of it. There
are many great teaching tips in there, not only for the
students, but also for the business end of things. I really
related to it because I teach drum-kit, marimba, piano, and
nylon-string guitar. I saw many familiar teaching techniques and
a handful of tips that I have never even considered. As one
author to another, you are wise to write a multi-instrument book
instead of just for drummers. Kudos to your foresight!!!

An excellent resource for the
beginning teacher, and for those of us who have been around for
a while.
Fresh, innovative, and practical. Highly recommended!

Dear Steve, Thank you for the
music teachers manual. This book rocks! I had just graduated
from college and was going to take some time off before I joined
"the real world". I bought your book, and within two weeks had
my first student. It's been 4 months now and I'm up to 18
students...WOW! I can pay for rent, food, and have a bit left
over to hang out with my friends. I still may get a "real job",
but for now I'm good. Thanks again. Great job!

The teachers book has really
helped me with my teaching. I was doing ok before, but never
kept my students for more than a few months. Now I have a better
idea about long term goals, and how to plant them into my
students heads. You have really done a
great job. Mark

Ps I am using your two drumming books for my lessons and my
students really enjoy them. :)
Dear SMG, I have now purchased 4
of your books (Spinology, DRUMology: Level 1 & 2, and recently
the Teacher's Manual). I must say you have done a fine job with
your writing and presentation. The teaching book is really
great. Excellent!! I enjoy your writing style, and moreover the
ideas within. Teaching and performing have been a part of my
life since the 70's, and I consider myself well versed in my
field. You have given a great deal of time and thought in
preparing your books; they are easy to follow, beneficial to
use, and practical. I can't praise you enough, and your company
is timely, professional, and courteous. Keep up the good work.
